The Xpress Blender is designed for
lower volume operations incorporating design features
of more expensive machines. It's compact size combined with the durability and
functionality of the quality polycarbonate BPA free jars make
the Xpress blender fantastic value. Even the entry
level blenders at Blendtec have a performance that is unprecedented in the
blending world. In fact, many of the blending tasks that Blendtec considers to
be routine would be classified as extreme blending for other brands. Effectively
blending products like frozen fruit, frozen yogurt, ice, vegetable greens, ice
cream, grains etc. are fundamental expectations for the entire range of Blendtec
blender models. Blendtec don't recommend specifying horsepower to measure the power of these blenders - better to use watts (which is simply amps x volts). If you still prefer HP then you can obviously get an approximation by dividing the watts by 746.
