Overview of Q Series Smoother

The Advanced Blending Control Blendtec Q series machines deliver one touch blending. Press the button and close the lid and the blender completes the cycle automatically. Lift the lid and the blender stops, preventing injury and misuse. Automatic start and blender safety - two great ideas found only on the Blendtec ABC.

No blending chore is too tough for the ABC. Program+ Plus provides 30 pre-programmed blend profiles with a touch of a key. Select the blend profiles best suited to your needs and assign them to the keypad. Smoothies, frozen coffees, frappees and Shakes are made perfectly everytime. No more hassles with the timers and buttons!

The new Q-Series sound reduction technology, gives a reduction of 10 decibels, nearly half of the audible sound associated with the normal blender operations. The new design also has a more durable hinge design that also reduces the overhead clearance space needed by over 20cm.

Blendtec don't recommend specifying horsepower to measure the power of these blenders - better to use watts (which is simply amps x volts). If you still prefer HP then you can obviously get an approximation by dividing the watts by 746.
